Spring style

As the weather starts to change and warm up (can’t believe the reports of bluebell shoots starting to appear…) we’re already starting to plan our spring style purchases to help get us through the seasonal ups and downs of rain/warmth/snow/smog/frost etc. that can occur in a day. Here is what we’ll be wearing this spring…

Becca: I’ve always loved a bit of embroidery and it seems to be everywhere this spring. I love these jeans from next with subtle embroidery. These slip on vans are a perfect change from the ankle boots I’ve been wearing all winter and this mustard jumper from ASOS is great for chilly spring mornings walking the dog.

Next jeans £30| Slip on vans £59.99 | ASOS jumper £35

I’ve been wearing this ASOS polka dot dress over jeans for the past month and now the weather is starting to warm up I’m looking forward to wearing it with leggings or (if I can face it) bare legs. I also will be spending some time chilling in pyjamas so will be purchasing a nice set from Hush as I love their designs. My pick would be the blue Nightsky set which Hush will donate £52 of the purchase price to the charity Refuge.

ASOS dress (sold out) | Hush Pyjamas £60

Kate: It seems like it has been such a long winter I cannot wait for spring!! I have been trying to steer towards stocking my wardrobe with some key pieces which are sourced more sustainably and supporting small businesses.

Clockwise from left: Marimekko tshirt | Sondeflor Sweater €152.60| Ovate Mathilde dress $210 | Lucy & Yak Dungarees £36 | Doc Martens £115

In spring Uniqlo are launching a really fun collaboration with Finnish design house Marimekko, whilst I am not brave enough to wear most of the beautiful prints this tshirt with printed pocket detail is right up my street. Sondeflor create classic pieces by hand from natural materials, they have so many beautiful pieces but I particuarly love this red chequered forest sweater. Ovate’s handcrafted linen Mathilde dress may have featured on one of our previous wishlists, I still haven’t bought it but am still totally lusting after one to call my own!

Who else has embraced the return of the dungaree? Lucy & Yak’s handmade dungarees are an absolute dream and a total bargain, layer it up with a chunky knit underneath on cooler evenings or when the weather brightens up pop a cami underneath to stay cool. Dr. Martens saw me through winter and I am excited to find this pair in their vegan range to wear when it gets too warm for boots, these shoes will literally go with anything.

What is at the top of your style wishlist this spring?
