With the seasons changing and some shopping trips coming up it is most definitely time to start preparing our wardrobes! Here’s a run down of what we want to be spending our money on come payday…
After finding the perfect (vegan) leather jacket earlier this year my Autumn wardrobe is definitely being styled around this staple piece. I have adored Ovate’s clothes for so long and think the simple but edgy Mathilde dress will work from season to season with sandals in the summer and layered with tights, boots and a tee underneath on in cooler weather. Likewise this linen dress by The People Shop would be a wardrobe staple that is versatile through the seasons, plus it is handmade in-house by Mr C – one half of the Sadler duo that are the brains and talent behind this independent store. Zara’s oversized chunky cardi will be keeping me toasty until next spring, I actually bought this cardi already and may have to get another because I can’t bear to take it off!
L-R; Mathilde Dress by Ovate £160, Linen Dress by The People Shop £75, Oversized Cardigan by Zara £49.99.
I love this fedora from Asos and am hoping it will save my hair from the dreaded ‘damp weather frizz’! Zara’s checked and embroidered shirt is such a cute take on a classic piece (everyone needs a checked shirt don’t they?!) and this will pair up nicely over or under lots of other pieces I already own the give them a new lease of life. This apron dress by Toast is delightfully utilitarian and is a piece that can be transformed from day to evening wear easily.
L-R; Fedora by Sacred Hawk £30, Embroidered Shirt by Zara £39.99, Black Denim Apron Dress by Toast £140
I’ve been wanting a new bag for a while now and this Radley Lavender Gardens bag with it’s embroidered guitar-strap style strap ticks all the boxes. Now to decide whether I want it in black or white! I’ve got a bit of a thing for yellow at the moment and have also been living in floral jumpsuits all summer so this mustard ASOS jumpsuit is the perfect thing to transition into the autumn months. Autumn is also the season of ankle boots and Clarks boots are always the best (especially for girls with large feet like me!). These black Clarks Elvina Dawn boots are practical and comfy but also look good.
& Other Stories can do no wrong and I’d happily take these two midi dresses in polkadot and rose prints and this green mohair coat to throw on over the top. For really cold days I’m looking at layering up with this mustard cable knit jumper from ASOS.
L-R: & Other Stories midi dress in polka dot £69, midi dress in rose print £89, & Other Stories mohair coat £165, ASOS yellow cable knit jumper £28
