Becca: I was recently sent an email from Look Magazine advertising their collaboration with Pink Parcel which peaked my curiosity. I love the idea of subscription boxes but worry that I won’t end up using most of what comes in the box. The idea of Pink Parcel is slightly different. A monthly box to help get you through your period. With tampons, pads and a box of goodies, these fully customise-able boxes are designed to make your time of the month a little less stressful and a bit more enjoyable.
The box arrived on a scheduled date that you set when you sign up. You can choose your brand which includes organic cotton tampons (something you can’t always find in the shops). The box was sturdy and came wrapped in a black plastic postage bag. It didn’t fit through the letterbox but our friendly postman knows where to leave parcels if we’re out.
Inside the box was three smaller boxes and a pouch, each labelled For Night – containing some pads, For Later – containing tampons, For Now – a small pouch containing a mix of tampons and pads and For You – containing lots of beauty items and treats.
To be honest, the box I was most excited about was the For You box full of goodies. Each box is sent out with a selection of goodies. They also sent a booklet which showed everything you could possibly get in your box. I was pleased with my selection of Carmex lip balm, Ombar chocolate (love this stuff!), Chai Latte, Face Mask, Mavala mini nail polish, Ciaté mini liquid velvet, Balance Me super toning body polish, Eyeko Skinny liquid eyeliner and of course a copy of LOOK magazine.
I really liked this box and think it’s worth the £10.50 (incl. postage and packaging – first box is just £6.99). You also have the option to buy the full versions of any of the products your receive in their online shop.
Let us know below if you are signed up to any box subscriptions and which one’s are the best!
