As you know we love tea and we’re always on the lookout for ways to integrate it into our daily lives. We’ve been spotting a new trend for using tea in beauty products, be it bubble bath to scrubs (check out our tea scrubs here!), but with Christmas just around the corner (only 79 more days to go) we thought we’d put together a wishlist of products we’d love to try…
We all know the much talked about benefits of matcha and now you can use it on your skin too! With a tag line “Let the power of tea transform you & your skin in just 10 minutes” we’re sold. We especially want to try the Purifying Cleansing Body Mask with oolong black tea and chai spices (£25) but we’ll probably give the ‘convenient’ (and slightly pointless?) Powder Mask Mixing Bowl (£15) a miss…
We just adore these guys, they had us from the start with their ethos; ‘Blending Literature, Tea and Essential Oils Together’. The branding for this young business is vintage and whimsical so it will look as good on your dresser as it will smell. We’ve got our eyes on the Rooibos Soap (£5) and the Tea Fragrance Sampler Set (£10).
We adore the branding of this company, and could spend aaages scrolling through their beautiful pictures on Instagram. This ‘all natural skincare’ brand appears to be exactly what it states on the tin but brought to us with a wild elegance that we just love. The Calming Herbal Bath Tea ($8) with lavender, chamomile, calendula, rose petals and rose buds, to relieve tension and sooth tired skin and muscles, won’t make it onto our Christmas list -we need it NOW!
A range based around raw unrefined coconut oil, Sister & Co only have one tea based product in their range but as a relatively new business we love their ethos and hope they soon add more. We are itching to try their Raw Coconut and Matcha Green Tea Sugar Scrub (£23.95)
Jo Malone have put their own spin on bringing tea into the land of beauty by incorporating it into their fragrances, Earl Grey and Cucumber is a personal favourite of Kate’s – light and refreshing and transforms beautifully from a daytime scent to an evening one when layered with Peony and Blush Suede. If you feel like splashing out you should check out Jo Malone’s Rare Tea Collection which has us intrigued. Refined fragrances have been infused straight from the leaves of six rare teas including Silver Needle, Jade Leaf, Oolong, Midnight Black, Darjeeling and Golden Needle. We wish we could get our mitts on these.
Bubble T have launched a range of of cosmetics embracing the culture of bubble tea and their website is mouthwatering-ly good incorporating all the beautiful brightness that you would expect from bubble tea. Their products are both paraben & SLS free and ‘Cruel-T’ free, however we struggled to decode what some of the ingredients were along with several artificial colours (listed on their product pages) so we might have to give them a miss.
You all know by now we love a DIY and a while back we made some simple homemade green tea body scrubs these make great Christmas gifts. Bluebird Tea Company have some great ‘beautea’ recipes on their blog including a Honey Bee Beautiful Face Scrub (not suitable for vegans due to containing honey) and a Matcha Home-Made Facemask Recipe.
With all this talk of tea we just had to let coffee sneak in for a guest appearance!…
If any company is going to make us be unfaithful to tea this is it. Frank is an Australian, coffee-based skincare range using natural ingredients to make your skin shine. We love Frank’s Instagram community proudly sharing their coffee-slathered endeavours and this is what initially intrigued us about this brand, we would happily put any of their products on our skin but in particular we love the sound of the Peppermint Coffee Scrub (£12.95), if your skin is going to be beautiful it may as well smell beautiful too!
What tea beauty products will you be putting on your wishlist to santa?
