Ten days of Tea Shirt: Caramel Carrot

Recently we stumbled upon Tea Shirt, a london-based company run by a couple passionate about tea and the culture surrounding it. We are always on the lookout for new exciting tea brands so when the lovely Kriszti from Tea Shirt sent us a variety of their blends to try we were like children in a sweetshop!

Today we are kicking off Ten Days Of Tea Shirt! In order to celebrate this lovely independent company we will be sharing with you over the next ten days a selection of the teas that Tea Shirt make. The first tea we are trying is Caramel Carrot…

Caramel Carrot (100g for £4.99)

This blend is a fruit and vegetable blend consisting of carrot, apple, pineapple, cream caramel pieces. This tea gives a soothing and sweet hit of caramel initially followed by the delicate tones of carrot. The sweetness of this blend isn’t overpowering, keeping it a soothing yet refreshing blend.

This blend also works really well as a latte it is flavoursome enough that with copious amounts of milk froth it holds its flavour and is a much healthier option than those caramel lattes you may get from high street coffee shops!

To make your own Caramel Carrot Latte…

  • Add one teaspoon of Caramel Carrot tea to 250ml boiling water
  • Leave to brew for 12 minutes
  • Whilst your tea is brewing heat 80mls of milk (we used soya wholebean)
  • Froth the milk
  • Add the milk froth to your tea
  • Top it off with a sprinkling of cinnamon
  • Enjoy!

(P.S. Add some honey if you fancy something extra comforting or have a sore throat!)

See you again tomorrow for another cup of Tea Shirt!

Bugs & Birds

*We were sent this tea by the lovely people at Tea Shirt but all opinions are our own and we were not paid for this review.
