This time of year is great and not just for the obvious reasons like Christmas carols, ridiculous decorations and lebkuchen. (Actually that’s a lie we LOVE lebkuchen!) One of our favourite things about this time of year is all the amazing craft markets!
At the weekend our local Etsy team (Brighton Etsy) held their first Christmas market at the Open Market so we took a wander down there to do some Christmas shopping and support our local sellers. I don’t know quite what we were expecting but we certainly didn’t expect it to be as busy as it was and although this was fantastic for the sellers we struggled to get a good look at a lot of the stalls.
Here are our favourite sellers from the day…
Harper & Finch‘s gorgeous embroidered textile art makes us go weak at the knees, this talented lady painstakingly designs, screenprints and then hand embroiders her beautiful designs onto fabric. We highly recommend checking out the mandala designs in her etsy shop!
Lola Hoad Design – We love the simplicity of these hand lettered prints, sometimes ‘less is more’ has the most impact!
Corinne Taylor makes organic, vegan and eco-friendly aromatherapy products that not only smell amazing but would look amazing in your bathroom too!
Fleur De Carotte. Minimalist yet graphic, throw in some geometric shapes and perfect colour choices and this designer/maker is onto a winner.
Pork Chops Papercuts, we couldn’t seem to find an online shop for this clever artist but his beautiful papercuts left us astounded.
Forever Foxed is literally all about fox terriers and has some gorgeous illustrations that any dog lover can relate to.
Helen Rebecca Ceramics are both visually and texturally stunning, her work showed a real attention to detail and her take on ceramic art is refreshing. Several items from her shop have made their way onto our wishlist.
Peas & Needles , we fell for this designer/makers weavings however this little cactus pin sealed the deal!
Jennifer Rose, these whimsical and witty illustrations are just adorable!
We thoroughly enjoyed perusing the stalls at the Brighton Etsy market, we hope you feel inspired to support your local designer/makers this Christmas too!
Don’t forget we are still running our 25 days of tea competition, all you have to do is post a picture of your favourite cuppa, tag us and #25daysoftea and follow us to be in for a chance of winning our favourite tea! Good luck!
